First Swell 2016
2016 has had a bit of a slow start to winter but finally a bit of swell has turned up. It was the first run of waves we have seen for a while and I didn't want to miss out. I got a couple of the lads from home excited to go up there with me Jye Perkins and Jesse Carter. They both we pretty pumped to get up North and get some serious waves. We packed up the Landy and made our way up to Gnaraloo.
We wad a blast up there for 3 days camping at the Bluff and catching up with all our friends, that live up there for most of the year. It is defiantly one of my favourite places to be on earth. I was up by 530 cracking the whip on the young lads getting them out of bed. I didn't want to miss a single wave that rolled through while we were up there. I guess I'm just used to all the trips up there with Kerby Brown, where he would have us on the beers all night then have us all in the car super early to be the first ones there. Its is the only way to do it I recon. Set up camp in the Tombies car park and see what the day brings.
Jye and Jesse managed to get a few good ones over the past few days but young Jye took out the best photo award for the trip. Jesse wasn't to far behind him though. He got some really sic ones. Bellow you will see a few photos from the trip. I can't wait to get back up there and do it all again.
